Blissful Squares

Hey guys! How are we all?

So here is another layout featuring the end of my birthday and back onto everyday life. I've decided this time to do the 12x12 layout that incorporates 4 squares. I don't do many of these in my layouts throughout the year but I had lots of photos to fit in just for May so found this the best option.

For this entire spread I used:
The Blissfull kit
- Jen Hadfield Tropical Delight Paper
- Blissful cut apart sheet
- White 12x12 Cardstock
- WRMK Fkower Girl Stickers
- Millie & June Puffy Alpha Stickers
- Simple Stories We are here washi

The first square is the morning after the 'birthday bestie' previous layout pictures were done and trust me that cuppa tea was defiantly needed!
Every birthday needs a cake or two!, this year I got a huge custard cream cake and some pug buns. I've decorated this square by matting the paper onto white Cardstock to give it a white border and then I have used alphas and stickers to decorate.

I love this next square as it shows a different technique. I have taken two strip of the white card, used to board the paper, and cut them with arrow shapes and as I stuck them down left a gap to show he paper behind. I then took my four 2x2 photographs and place them accordingly.

In the upcoming layouts you'll be able to see, or if you have already noticed I have quite an obsession with Yankee candles! I get a couple of new ones every month and soon my new unit shall arrive so I will have more space to put them out in order, and by order I mean my OCD has taken over and placed them in scent categories-- oh dear now I sound crazy 😂

On this layout I also used the washi tape which I was hesitant to use at first but these blue tones reminded me of a galaxy and space especially the one with the white dots on and it also made the Lush shopping bag in the picture stand out. The LUSH shop I have to go in everytime I pass one! Who can get tired of those awesome smells that run up your nose and brain wash you to go in and spend a fortune. The ordeal with the paper bag is that usually there just black and brown naturally coloured however on occasions they have this wicked blue and pink and purple Galaxy watercolour bag and I specifically have to have it.

Green fingered people anyone?.
I am not green fingered at all I hate gardening, however the exitment on lukes face when he found potatoes in our garden was just adorable and obviously picture worthy. When I received the kit and saw the WRMK Flower Girl stickers I new that they would accompany this photo and it worked out a treat.

Of course my babies have to be featured, I mean how cute and adorable are my little creatures!.
Again I loved the alphas on here there a brilliant colour and a fantastic text, sometimes it hard to pick a good font but these I love. The cut apart sheet I have used throughout the spread I have used in strips and tucked it underneath the photographs and either journaled on them or simply left to embellish.

Birthday Bestie

Hi guys!
First of all how nice is this summer weather? I am loving the summer sunshine and hope it lasts!

Right so onto scrapbooking, this is another birthday layout and its focused on me and my best friend. Lauren has been my best friend since primary school so roughly 16 years, and since we've grown up and moved into our own homes in different villages spending time together is limited at the moment. So here we are celebrating my 20th in the garden with wine!.

The 12x12 patterned background is Pink Paislee Paige Evans Fancy Free #2 paper and I love it, its like a doodle page! The cluster and the entire layout is made up of all four kits.

Beautific Main:
Pink paislee Paige Evans fancy free #2 paper
Jen Hadfield Everyday Sticker Sheet
BAZZILL basics Tropical Cardstock

Cloud Nine Embellishment Kit:
Jillibean Soup Blue Adhesive Sequins
Pink Fresh Studio Puffy Alphas

Blissful Lite Kit:
Millie and June Puffy Dot Stickers

Festival Kit:
Custom Cards

And the packaging! Yep the blue spotty tissue paper the kit came wrapped in!

The photos on this spread I joined together by framing them on plain white Cardstock and the matting a layering on coloured Cardstock which happened to be a really warm light blue. I loved the stay cool card with the sunglasses and animal print from custom card kit so instead of cutting it up as I do with most cards I kept this one whole and slotted in underneath the picture of us 'being cool'. If anyone knows me well, I have a slight obsession with Ampersands (&) and I try and get at least one on my page if possible. This one featured here from the Jen Hadfield Sticker Sheet i adore as its lined with gold foil. The sequins were a new thing for me as I have never had adhesive sequins before, they are brilliant for a quick embellishment and also bring in the blue from the backing cardstock and spotty tissue paper.

Here you can see a full view of my completed layout. The tissue paper I mentioned is the backing piece  behind the photo. I finished off with the Alpha stickers which i really like in the bright yellow and they match in with bright sunshining day in which the pictures were taken.

I hope your all enjoying your kits, and there's more to come, see you soon!

Today was beautiful

Hey everyone!

As promised I am back with my second layout this month.

Here's is what I used to create this look-
From the Main Kit:
  • Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful Chipboard Alphabet
  • Jillybean Soup Healthy Hello Peapod Parts
  • 1 sheet of white 12x12 cardstock
From the Lite Kit:
  • Pebbles Jen Hadfield Everyday Tropical Delight 12x12 patterned paper
  • Fancy Pants Millie & June Puffy Dot Stickers
  • Cloud Nine Blissful cut-apart sheet
From the Embellishment Kit:
  • Pebbles Jen Hadfield Everyday Cardstock Stickers
  • Pink Fresh Studio Life Noted Puffy Alpha Stickers
  • We R Memory Keepers Flower Girl Puffy Stickers

And here is how I created this simple, but pretty and effective layout:

I started by cutting a 5x12" strip of the Jen Hadfield Everyday Tropical Delight patterned paper and adhered it to my paper. The blue and white strip along the left hand side of it was actually one of the branding strips from (I believe) the same patterned paper. For me this really made it stand out.
I then adhered my two 3x4 photo's on top leaving a small gap between them.

I then decided on my title. I chose this title because I am so lucky sometimes where I live, I get to see all of this beautiful wildlife. Not many people can say they have muntjac deers in their gardens every night or squirrels that are practically tame . For the title I used the TODAY piece out of the Jillybean Soup Healthy Hello Peadpod Parts (ephemera pack). The WAS letters were from the Pink Fresh Studio Life Noted Puffy Alphas pack and the BEAUTIFUL was from the Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful Chipboard Alphabet (love these letters, they're so uber thick!!)

My journalling was done on (yep you guessed it...) vellum. I adhered this with a couple of staples and then started on my embellishing (my favourite part!) On the left hand side I used a couple of the stickers from the Pebbles Jen Hadfield Everyday sheet, cutting the gold wreath shape in half putting one half on the left hand side of the photo's and the other half a bit lower down on the right hand side. I did the same with the lemon just to add a pop of colour. I then used the beautiful flower and the hello beautiful tab from the Jillybean Soup Peapod ephemera pack.

On the right hand side of my layout I used a couple of the elements from the Cloud Nine Blissful cut-apart sheet, popping the LOVELY and other puffy stickers from the We R Memory Keepers Flower Girl pack on the arrow pointing to my journaling. I then finished off my cluster with some more of the stickers from the Jen Hadfield Everyday sticker sheet and a few of the dots and hearts from the Fancy Pants Millie & June puffy dot stickers pack

VOILA!!! Page complete :D

Love how this page turned out I think the colours really compliment each other and I particularly like the cluster I made (something I am trying to do more of) cause it really is effective.
I will be back soon with my next layout which is a project life style page so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Until next time...Happy Scrappin everyone! x

Presenting...ENYA! Our new puppy!

Ok before I start my post properly I want to make a couple of apologies.

Firstly, I'm sorry I have been absent from posting so far this month I have been so hectic. I was actually on holiday for the second week of the kit coming out (luckily I'd managed to get 4 layouts done before my holiday). Then the day we got back from holiday I had to go and pick up my new puppy Enya so I've been uber busy with potty training her (I swear it's just like looking after a newborn baby lol) and when I was ready to post this months layouts I noticed my laptop charger had decided to go for a walk...meh
FINALLY I managed to find it and here I am!

Secondly, because of new puppy ^^ my pages are going to start heavily featuring her first year as I am making her her own album. But that out of the way I am overwhelmed with this months kit and here is my first layout...

So with Enya's album I am going with the A4 theme again, it's just so cost effective and more challenging than a 12x12..although I will never stop making 12x12's cause I love them too much and fellow design team member Melanie will probably kill me hehehe. :D

For this layout I used the following
From the Main Kit:

  • Bazzill Tropical 12x12 cardstock

From the Lite Kit:

  • Dear Lizzy Happy Place Beachy Betsy 12x12 patterned paper
  • Cloud Nine Blissful Cut-apart sheet
  • Fancy Pants Millie & June Royal Blue Alphabet Puffy Stickers
From the Embellishment Kit
  • Pebbles Jen Hadfield Everyday cardstock stickers
  • Jillybean Soup self adhesive Teal Sequins
How I made my layout

I started of my using an A4 sheet of cardstock from my stash and decided I wanted to heavily embellish the right side. I cut 2.5x2.5" squares of the Beachy Betsy patterned paper and mounted them onto slightly larger pieces of the Bazzill Tropical cardstock to make them stand out.

I then chose where I wanted my photo to go and laid that onto a piece of vellum also from my stash (I'm slightly obsessed with using vellum at the moment, especially for printing my journalling on). I typed up my journalling on my laptop and printed it onto the vellum and stapled it to the page underneath the photo.

I used one of the pieces from the Cloud Nine cut-apart sheet to pop Enya's Birth Date on, and then using the Pebbles Jen Hadfield everyday cardstock stickers I went to town embellishing. (I don't usually embellish this heavy but I had another pack in my stash from a recent haul I did)

I finished off this layout by adding an arrow and heart from the same Everyday sticker sheet pointing towards my title Enya which was made using the Fancy Pants Millie & June Royal Blue Puffy Alpha's and some Jillybean Soup teal self-adhesive sequins.

This will be the first page in Enya's album as it's got her birth info and such on it. I can't wait to make some more and watch her album grow as she does!

I'm thrilled with the result of my page and I think the colours really work. I am a huge fan of everything Jen Hadfield brings out anyway so for Leonora to include them in the kits just made me squeal with excitement!
I'll be back soon with my next layout..
until then...Happy Scrappin! :D

New Kit, New Month, New Stories

Hello fellow scrappers!, things may have been quiet but that's because we're all super pooped out with this months kits! Is it just me who thinks this month we were totally spoilt?!

Here is my first layout and I have waited until these kits came to document my birthday! In this first spread I have used:

Beautiful Kit/ Main Kit:

- Pink Paislee Page Evans Fancy Free #9 12x12 paper
- BAZZILL Basic Tropical 12x12 Cardstock
- Jillibean Soup Blue Adhesive Sequin Stickers
- Jillibean Soup Healthy Hello Peapod Parts
- Freckled Fawn Silver Puffy Hearts and Plus Sign Stickers

This simple 12x12 layout is dedicated to my 20th birthday party! Yep I don't look it do I ;)
First I printed my photographs and as usual I matted and layered with a solid coloured Cardstock and I'm am loving the tropical holiday vibe with not only this Cardstock but is gorgeous patterned paper designed by Pink Paislee!.

Using the 'Healthy Happy Peapod Parts' (ephemera) and formed together two clusters to each corner of the each photo. I love the variety of bits and pieces you get in the ephemera pack such as flowers, arrows, words! It's enough to give you lots of options and who doesn't like options?.

I finished of the page by using a few sequin stickers and a puffy heart sticker.

I have really loved working with this kit and the upcoming pages from not only me but the rest of design team too I'm sure will be fantastic!

Catch you soon crafters,

MelanieJoanne❤️
