Full Heart - Natalie - Jan/Feb 2018 Kits

 Hi everyone,

I'm here today with my next layout created with the Jan/ Feb Kits.

Supplies used:

Main Kit:

- Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide - Caper 12x12 Paper
- White cardstock

Lite Kit:
- Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide - Instinct Paper

Extras Shop:

- Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide - Cardstock Stickers
- Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide - Epoxy Heart Stickers
- Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide - Puffy Heart Stickers

For this layout I started with the PFS Caper 12x12 paper (the one with the hearts). This is such a gorgeous piece of paper, but I felt it was just too busy to be used as a background by itself.

So I decided to use 3/4 of the page, but rather than just cut along the bottom line of the hearts, I decided to fussy cut out all of the spaces between the hearts, giving the hearts a cool 3D effect. This took a very long time using scissors and my craft knife, but I think it's worth it! After fussing cutting out the hearts you could then place them on a coloured background but I decided to go for white cardstock. I used foam pads to lift the hearts up off the page.

To the fussy cut hearts I added a few of the epoxy heart stickers, which have a lovely gold finish on them.

With the hearts finished, I just had to add my photo and a few embellishments, to finish the layout. I printed my photo at approximately 3.5 x 3.5 inches and matted it first on white cardstock, and then the PFS Impulse paper, and then the back of the PFS Caper paper (from the bottom 1/4 of the paper that I cut off).
I added a phrase sticker and circular sticker from the cardstock stickers, and an epoxy heart, drawing in the pink and blue colours of the big hearts above.

I always like to work in triangles when making my clusters, so I added a small cluster to the bottom left of the layout. I used a thin strip of the PFS Caper paper to base the cluster on. I then added the "Full Heart" puffy sticker which acts as my title, and a puffy and an epoxy heart sticker.

I hope you like my layout and it inspires you to use your heart paper!!

  1. I love this layout. I’m not sure I’d have the patience for all that fussy cutting, but maybe I’ll have a go some time soon.

  2. The way you managed to fussy cut those hearts with a craft knife astounds me! Mine wouldn't have turned out any where near as good as yours haha xx
