Previous Quirky Kit:
The blue mat behind the photo is a custom card from a previous kit.
For this layout I took inspiration from a sketch in the Quirky Kit Facebook Group (if you're not already a member, then why not!).
I absolutely love woodgrain papers so I started off with that as my background and then decided to lighten up the page by layering white based papers.
I know some people say you shouldn't combine blue and green, but I did and I like it! I matted my photo on a light blue card, from a previous custom cards kit. I then added the script paper and the leaf paper. The green geometric strips are actually thin strips from where I trimmed the leaf paper.
Around my photo I added my title which is a piece from the ephemera kit, on 3d foam pads. I added a fussy cut camera - I absolutely love the camera paper in the kit, I've fussy cut them all out and have them in a bowl on my desk and I just can't stop adding them to layouts, they're just so pretty.
The flower puffy sticker is from my stash and then I added the rose gold leaf ephemera piece and a wooden button.
To the top right I added one of the fabric tags which I folded in half to make it look like a tab, and added a wood button and a leaf from the ephemera pack.
I always try to embellish in a triangle on my layouts, so I added another embellishment cluster to the bottom left of the layout. So I have a cluster in the bottom left, around the photo and the top right, which all include rose gold leaves, to bring the layout together.
I added another fussy cut camera, wooden button and a beautiful leatherette tag.
I hope you like my layout and you are inspired to try one of the sketches in the group too.
This layout has no real story and no journalling, which is unusual for me, but it was fun to just play with the beautiful products and not worry about the story! I have written the date and place on the back though for when I look back in the future.
Natalie x
